Monkeys!

Our girls act like Monkeys the way they eat bananas! Macy begs for bananas all day long. The most she has had is 2 in one day, and we try not to give her one in the morning, because she'll most likely beg Robin for one throughout the day. At least it isn't something like candy, chocolate, or ice cream, which Mommy or Daddy could eat all day long! :)

Kalahari fun

Jesse BF from high school was in town last weekend with his wife and son at the Kalahari. We brought over dinner to their condo Monday night, and let the three kids play. We had a great time visiting and watching the kids hang out. Madison enjoyed wearing Wyatt's way too small sandals! She hasn't changed!

Megan's Shower

Last weekend, I went to Milwaukee for the night so I could attend Megan's baby shower! How exciting (doesn't she look great?)! She asked me to be the godmother, so of course I said yes! That means that baby 3 will get a trip to LA in May! Megan's shower was beautiful, and it was great seeing old friends, and her family. Next time I see Megan, baby Benton will be born, and my belly will be how hers looks now! I was supposed to go to a my friend Sadie's shower in Milwaukee yesterday, but Macy got the flu Friday night, and Jesse and I haven't been 100% since. I think we're almost in the clear...cross our fingers!

Wind Chill Day

Besides the fact that we already have to make-up 5 days this school year, we are enjoying our

"wind chill day" at home. Jesse brought out rock band again, and Maddie was jamming on the guitar. The video is of the girls with their new interactive dance cam that they got from Grandma Simonson. If you watch the tv, it shows the girls dancing! They love it!

Wilderness

We had a night of fun and friends at the Wilderness last Sat. Amy, Maggie, Jen, and I, along with our husbands and children, spent the night at a 4 bedroom condo (much different than the college days where we could sleep in). We all had such a blast, and it was amazing how well the 8 adults and 8 kids got along together! We enjoyed the waterparks and the play area (which was ironically called Monty's Wild Kids Club...that explains it all), along with food and movies back at the condo. The kids loved the fact that we could dial "0" and a bus would come and pick us up at the condo front door and take us to where we wanted to go! Macy missed out on the group kids pictures because she was already in bed. She was the only one who went to sleep around her regular bedtime! The other kids laid down for quite awhile watching the Tinkerbell movie. The kids (and parents) were all pretty exhausted Sunday morning, and Macy finally gave in and fell asleep on me at the waterpark. The videos are of Macy in the ball playarea and of Macy eating a snack, while we were watching the bucket of water spill over. Later that evening, I took Madison with me to my Kohl's "xmas party." They treated us to dinner at Damon's and we got to go on some rides at the NEW Kalahari indoor theme park. Madison chose the carosel(ms), ferris wheel, and the go karts. It was so much fun, and I'm sure we'll be going there frequently during these cold months! A very busy, and fun weekend!-[,,,,,,,zx

Kitty Love

We are truly blessed with wonderful pets. Ginger takes most of the "loving" from the girls...i.e. sitting on, standing on, hugging, "petting," and many more. Fluffy has been such a lover, too! Here is he just lying down while Macy is lying on top of him! They really do love their animals, and Macy can say all of their names, including fishy!

Rock Band

We purchased a Rock Band 2 from a co-worker after Christmas. We are at the point where we need more room just to store our wii and all of it's fun equipment (luckily we started finishing off the basement, and it should be done in February sometime). Before the girls got up from their naps, Jesse and I were rocking! He did awesome on the drums and the guitar, and I was a rock star on the mic! When the girls got up, they were interested, too, so we all played for awhile (a great activity while we were waiting for the mopped kitchen floor to dry). I'm sure this will provide many more hours of entertainment at our house for years to come!

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a safe and happy new year! We went to Milwaukee and spent New Year's Eve at my parents place. Megan was in town from CA, and we had a nice time catching up and comparing bellies (she is due in early April, and I am at the end of July). How cool to share 25+ years of friendship, and now motherhood! I am excited to see her next weekend for her baby shower. My parents decided to send out a New Year's card with all the girls. Here is the picture they chose. I can't wait until our girls are old enough to capture pretty smiles like Kirk's girls! Our time will come! By that time, we'll have the third that doesn't smile for pictures, so it may be longer than we hoped. We stopped at Kopp's on our way home and got some cookie dough custard (so good)! Madison took a bite and a couple minutes later, we saw that she had fallen asleep, apparently before she swallowed! For the record, I would never be able to fall asleep before savoring that yummy taste! That's how tired she was!
