Matthew at 4 months

Matthew is such a sweetheart! Although he cries more than any of the others did, he has a sweet smile and laugh. He is also the smallest one we've had...was just under 13 pounds at his 4 month, only in the 25%. He sure loves his brother and sisters, and they enjoy reading and singing to him and making sure that he gets taken care of. We are so blessed!

Halloween Weekend activities

Max enjoyed wearing the fake rotten teeth they won at Knucklehead's last weekend...the best pic was the one where he is holding the floss up! We had a great time Friday trick-or-treating at the annual pumpkin parade, where we start by the library and go around downtown Reedsburg. Friday night Macy got to go with a friend to a party, and we enjoyed time with Madison after the boys went to bed. Saturday we headed to Viking Village grocery store and had pictures, bobbed for pears, entered a coloring contest, and enjoyed some goodies. Saturday night we had a great time at the Olson's Halloween party, with many fun families! Sunday the girls had a "bug" birthday party, and of course, tonight, trick-or-treating ended with a free meal at Culver's! The funniest about tonight, the two dogs dressed as Batman and Robin, and a neighbor passing out free hot dogs and jello shots, along with candy! Crazy! What a great time! We had such a fun Halloween this year...it will be hard to top!

Mission Pooh Bear...completed!

Max would not be in the same room with his Pooh Bear costume! He would scream and run away! Today was a great day, as Daddy somehow persuaded him to try it on! Now we have our very own characters from the 100 acre woods! Matthew also got to try on his Puppy costume I found! Now to get Max back in for trick-or-treating...hopefully no problem when there is candy involved! This will be a great Halloween!

Pumpkins and Dance

Daddy enjoyed carving cool faces for our pumpkins...pictures to come soon! The girls enjoyed dance class in costume this week, too!

Spookfest at Knucklehead's

A friend told me about Spookfest at Knucklehead's in the Dells, so I decided to brave it with all of the kids and give it a try! We had a blast! It wasn't very busy, and the deal was great. Our kids didn't go on many of the big rides, but enjoyed the play park, pirate ship, obstacle course, airplane ride, jumping pillow, carnival games, decorating caramel apples, free arcade games, among other things. The kids received treats from all of the rides, and Madison even won a door prize! She got some dress up stuffed kitty cats, along with a gift card to go back! It was a wonderful fun day, and definitely a new family tradition. We even made the paper! http://www.wiscnews.com/image_c7c24194-ff4a-11e0-bc1f-001cc4c002e0.html

Country Bumpkin

The Kindergarten classes went to Country Bumpkin for a fieldtrip. Madison enjoyed the maze, and a little special time with Daddy! The pumpkins they picked were used for Pumpkin Math Night on Tuesday. The students had to weigh, measure, and other activities with their pumpkins and parents.

First Cereal

Matthew tried cereal for the first time! He seemed to enjoy it, especially the part about sitting like a big boy! After awhile, the cereal slowly started to come out of his mouth, and by the end, he had more on his belly, than swallowed! Silly boy!

Peck's

Two Sundays ago, we made it to Peck's! Although it was a little wet and windy, we had a great time!

Badger game/game night

Daddy enjoyed snuggle time with Matthew during a Badger's game a few weekends ago, and later that evening, we enjoyed having the Olson girls over to play! Daddy even played Zingo with all the big kids!

Weekend fun

Friday night ended with our usual book time, but Matthew seemed to be paying attention as well! The kids also made a "show" before bedtime, and had used their blankets as curtains! Madison was the director, Macy the singer, and Max the dancer! On Saturday, after shopping and the Home Depot workshop, Daddy got to snuggle with Matthew watching the Badgers beat Indiana!

Brewer game Monday night

Joe and Brooke invited us to the NCLS Monday night game. Although it ended horribly, we enjoyed a night out and the chance to say we were a part of the post season play! We realized that it had been the first time since children that we had been out just as couples!

Grandparent's day!

The infamous Grandparent's Day was held at the Larson's last Sunday. The kids enjoyed painting pumpkins, trampoline time, yummy food, outdoor games, train ride, and new this year, a ride in the motorcycle side car! As always a great time, and we all look forward to next year!
