Lots of fun!

Jesse's Dad and Grandma came last Sunday and brought a cake for Madison. I love this picture of Madison and Daddy, blowing out the candle! Jesse's Aunt had given Maddie a very cute swimsuit and coverall, along with this Mermaid card that we all tried out. That has still been a fun thing around the house! We also captured a great smile when Grandpa was making her laugh...too bad we didn't bring him along to her pictures! Have a great weekend! We're heading to Fond du Lac with my Mom's side of the family, so we should have some pics to post next week!

Sisterly love!

Just wanted to share some sisterly love pics. Daddy had fun on the floor coloring with the girls. We had to be sure Macy kept the crayon out of her mouth. Madison and Macy had on matching outfits the other day (thank you Grandma Simonson), and Maddie was sharing her baby dolls with Macy (clarification, she was letting Macy hold the had of one of her dolls)! Macy just adores big sis, too, and watches her every move! We can't wait until Macy is old enough to really play!

Macy's first pictures!

Hi!

At the last minute, we decided to get professional pics done this Sat., before going to our friends' house for lunch. If you'd like to preview them, follow these directions: your previews are available @ mpsphotography.com. When you are there select studio, select portrait previews, enter gallery, find name and enter password which is 4krmt3 You also have to put in your email address. We used Jesse's email which is pk3teach@yahoo.com

Madison was quite the little stinker! She was so outgoing and had a lot of fun...she just wouldn't stay still long enough (or in the right spot) to get any good pictures! I know she just turned 2 yesterday, but wow, those listening skills must have been blown away with the candles! She was kissing the photographer, and giving him backrubs. Too bad she wouldn't smile for him!

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend! We'll post again soon!

birthday - part 2

One of the funniest moments was when "Bumpa" got all the girls playing rough on the big blocks! There was lots of laughing and jumping and bumping heads! I don't know who enjoyed it more, the kids or my Dad! Madison partied right through her nap, and when things started to wind down, she sat on my lap. Within minutes, she was asleep by 5:30 (Mommy was tired, too)! We'll see if she stays down the whole night. I wouldn't doubt it.

2nd birthday party

What a great day! The birthday party was so much fun, and we didn't have to worry about bad weather...that's supposedly coming in a couple of hours! Madison had lots of fun, and got lots of cool new things. We gave her a microphone/keyboard toy this morning, and enjoyed watching her perform. She got lots of puzzles, babies, her first raincoat, hat, and boots, and I think her favorite, a pink scooter! We'll have to watch her outside...we live on top of a big hill! Watch out! The underwater theme was a lot of fun. We made lots of fish, had streamers, ocean bathroom, and sea shells out. The kids liked seeing nemo on the tablecloth, and eating their very own "aquarium" - jello with swedish fish!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Another snowy day! Our school let out at 12:00 with all the snow falling. Perfect for Madison's birthday party coming up! Her party was snowed out last year...I just hope the weather stays clear after today!

I wanted to post some of our cute Valentine's pictures! They look so cute in their fun outfits, and their sitter, Robin, gave them matching shirts. Her daughter gave them a big lamb, which you can see Madison hugging. I wish I got hugs that big!

Last weekend was supposed to be a fun get-away to Chicago, and instead we stayed home with Jesse and Madison not feeling the greatest. We are all feeling good and excited for this weekend! I also added a picture from last weekend. Macy was sitting up for quite awhile playing with her toy! She was such a big girl! Look for a post next week with some birthday pics on.

Happy Valentine's Day to you and your loved ones!

Snow Day - Part 2

Although we didn't get quite as much snow as Madison and Milwaukee, it definitely snowed all day long! We enjoyed our day together and had lots of memorable things happen. Madison told us "potty" earlier, and she went! At nap time, she used that as a way to get out of bed, and never went. Before bedtime, she said it again. I almost didn't put her on because she had fooled us at naptime...low and behold, she went! So, that was a BIG step, getting her to say pee-pee potty, and actually going! Macy rolled over on Monday, and of course Daddy didn't see it. Tonight she rolled over again, and Jesse missed it. He was standing right by her when she rolled over AGAIN, but he had happened to look up at tv to hear about the Badgers. He was able to see her roll before he left for bowling. We got an action shot of her rolling over - watch out, she's officially on the move! I'm also posting a picture of the sister love we see every day. They are so sweet together! Maddie doesn't hold her very often, but when I asked this evening, she said yes.
Hope every one is plowed out tommorrow in WI!

SNOW DAY!!!!!!

Here we are at home, another snow day! I wouldn't complain if we didn't have to make it up at the end of the year when the kids and teachers would like to be done and enjoy the nice weather. I know, cry me a river, right? Anyways, we enjoyed playing outside in the snow, and Macy was bonding with Ginger in the warm house. I hope everyone is safe! Also, Happy Birthday Great-Grandpa Deffke, and happy 5 month birthday to Macy!

Playing

Although it has been cold and snowy here lately, we've been trying to have lots of fun inside! Here is a picture of Daddy playing with the girls on their "blocks." This was Maddie's favorite toy from Santa. Santa knew that she was getting in trouble a lot by standing up on everything, so he thought it was a great idea to give her something she could stand up on...and slide down, and jump from, etc.

Madison loves to do what her little sister is doing. She also likes to find and unwrap her mother's Cadbury Creme Eggs!
