New Year's Eve!

Jesse and I enjoyed a dinner out alone while my parents watched the kids for us. After that we watched a movie and even stayed up until midnight to toast with my parents and their friends! Hope everyone has a great new year!

Ice skating

Uncle Kirk had the best idea for Saturday day. Bumpa, Jesse, and Kirk, took the 4 girls ice skating downtown Milwaukee! My girls went for the first time. Madison finally got the hang of it after awhile and really enjoyed it. Macy liked it, but "I had some trouble" I overheard her telling Matthew and Max when she got home. Definitely an activity we will have to try again soon!

Bumpa's 60th Birthday!

On Friday we headed to Milwaukee to celebrate Bumpa's birthday. We opened presents before we left for dinner, and the boys enjoyed Bumpa reading them their new book he found for them. Both Katelyn and Lauren are the best big cousins to our kiddos! We ate out at Bravo's, and then came back to their place where we had some of Dad's friends waiting to surprise him...he really had no idea! It was great! What a memorable evening, especially when he let all the grandkids shave his mustache. Follow this link to youtube if you'd like to watch!

Fun

Max enjoyed playing Memory with Matthew looking on, and the girls have been making perler bead projects every day! They will spend hours and have come up with some really cool patterns. I couldn't believe I let Christmas pass by without a reindeer shot for Matthew, so I did one after the fact. Better late than never!

Build-a-bear

Madison and Macy received gift cards to build-a-bear from Kirk and Katie. I cannot believe we haven't been there before, but now was a great time to try it out! I explained to the girls about the amount of $ they had to spend, and I was very proud that they went to the "sale" clothes to keep within their budget...so much like their Mommy! We had an already stuffed bear that I was going to let Max hang out with while we were there, and I ended up letting him keep it because he was so excited about it! I'm sure this will be a store that the kids will want to visit again...now I have an idea of what I can tell people for gifts :)

Dells with Julie

We were so happy that Julie made it to the Dells with Jason and Jacob! Unfortunately we didn't see John, Hanna and Hunter, and Jesse was unable to come, but we enjoyed some swimming on Weds., and lunch on Thursday before they headed back to Chetek. Matthew looked super cute in his new swimsuit that he had never worn, but he didn't care for the water AT ALL!!!! The other kids had so much fun and could've have stayed for many more hours!

IL for Christmas

We traveled down to IL on Christmas Day. We started celebrating at the Phillips' and it was fun to see the Packer fans vs. the Bear fans! The kids enjoyed stories told by Uncle Dave, and of course having fun with all the little ones! Afterwards, we went to Aunt Judy's place by the river, where we enjoyed great company and a nice place to stay. The kids went to bed really well and looked so cute! We are excited for a summer stay!

Christmas Morning

The kids were so adorable Christmas morning. After running down and seeing all the presents Santa left in their new sleds, the opening started! Macy loved her Toodlebear, Madison enjoyed her new MP3 player, and Max's favorite toy ended up being his little remote control car from Toy Story 3. Matthew first enjoyed the presents, but then started crying while he was "opening" them!

Macy's Christmas Program

Macy had her first Christmas Program for preschool December 15. She was so proud and had so much fun! We enjoyed watching her and having a blast. Because the classes are a little smaller this year, they did both together. Macy's friends Alayna and Kaija were also there!

Max's new room

The kids got to "help" Jesse paint Max's new room! They felt so cool helping to roll on the paint. Why we decided to take on a big project like that right before the holidays is beyond me, but we did it!!!!

Visit from Santa

The Reedsburg Library had Santa Claus and our kids had a great time! They had arts and crafts in one room. There was quite a long line, but everyone did well during the wait. We also took more pics at home around the tree and the lighted garland.
