Outdoor fun

We enjoyed some more great weather yesterday! We acquired a net from a neighbor, so our hoop is all fixed. The kids enjoyed playing basketball, and Madison got good from quite a distance away! The slide is always a big hit, and our newest big hit, was the John Deere tractor! This was my father's when he was a little boy. My brother and I played with it as children, and then my brother had it at his house for awhile. We acquired it a couple weeks back, and Max (although he can't reach the pedals), loved it! We are hoping to get back out this weekend to pump up bike tires, charge the battery for the Barbie jeep, and maybe even yardwork? We'll see!

Bring a friend to dance...

Last Tuesday was bring a friend to dance class. Madison brought Macy, and our neighbor Ashlyn. Madelyn brought Alayna and her friend Kiah. They all had a great time, except I couldn't get my girls to take nice pictures, as usual! Macy was really loving it...I think she is ready for us to sign her up next fall!

Funny pics...

Max found one of Jesse's hats the other day, and loved having it on. He would also play peek-a-boo with it! We finally got some Easter decorations out last Sunday, and that
has been the major hit this week. The kids have been "practicing" egg hunts, laying eggs like chickens, and one day the baskets were their rain hats and Max even carried a pretend umbrella (copying what Macy had just done of course). He is at the "monkey see, monkey do" stage for sure!!!

Grandpa Monte Sandwich!

Last Saturday, Grandpa Monte came to visit us! Macy said, "That was just the Grandpa I wanted to see!!!!!" We had a nice lunch together, and then lots of play time. The girls loved showing Grandpa how to play Leapster, and even gave him "a Grandpa sandwich!" They also enjoyed a dinner out with Grandpa (including some ice cream for dessert) before he headed home. Come visit again soon!!!!

Dance class

Madison had her costume fitting at dance last night. Here she is with two of her good friends. We are all excited for her first recital, coming

up over Mother's Day weekend!

Nice weather!

We loved the nice weather last week! With the melting snow, we did have extra dog-do pick-up, but we got out for our family walks again EVERY night! What joy! Max really loved the sidewalk chalk, however, he seemed to get more on himself because of laying down. That is what a true artist is like, right?
Sad to say that the grass is now again snow covered :( When will spring come?!?!?!

Trip to California!

Where should I start? We traveled to Los Angeles last Thursday to visit Megan, Cash, and Michael. We enjoyed dinner at their house on Thursday night and loved watching the kids play so nicely together. Friday was spent from morning until night at Disneyland...gotta love the girls faces when they saw the castle for the first time! The weather was only around 50 degrees and was raining off and on. Despite a little whining about some scary rides, we lasted all day and got on almost everything we wanted to! The highlights were meeting Ariel and Aurora, the Buzz Lightyear ride, and the Small World ride. Max was even saying, "WOW!" on the entire small world boat ride...so cute! Saturday was sunny, but still around 50 degrees with more wind. We went to Long Beach, near Queen Mary, and saw the acquarium. The first hour was great, and then I think tiredness set in! We were able to go out for lunch on the harbor and go rest back at the hotel. Unfortunately, Madison came down with a fever and was complaining of her ear hurting, so Jesse and her stayed back at the hotel Sat. night, while I took the other two back for dinner with Megan, Cash, and Michael. The kids did great in our small Jeep Liberty and on both flights! We found out Monday that Madison had a double ear infection...I should have been more sympathic about the whining! All in all it was an eventful trip, we did it!
