Squash

We let Max try his first real food tonight, squash! He seemed to like it the first few bites, and then seemed to just want his cereal. I love the funny faces and can't wait to see more as we try the new foods!

Play Date

We had a play date today after school with our friends Kristin, Madison, and Jaxson. We have pictures of them all from in the summer, and it is amazing to see how much they have all grown, especially Max and Jaxson!

Nana's Birthday

We headed to Milwaukee this past weekend to celebrate Nana's birthday. Nana will turn the big 60 this Thursday! We ate at the Lakefront Brewery Friday night with Kirk, Katie, Lauren, and Katelyn. We had a lot of fun dancing to the polka band (Bumpa tried to get some pictures but the lighting was funny and of course, blurry). Katelyn and Lauren loved holding baby Max and he really enjoyed seeing them again. On Saturday, we took the kids to Just for Fun in Grafton to play and get tired out. Bumpa and Nana took all three kids from there for the night (Kirk and Katie had Madison over night). Jesse and I saw a movie, went to a winery to tour and taste some good wine, and stayed overnight in a bed and breakfast in Cedarburg. It was so nice to have some alone time...we were able to talk without interruptions!!!! Thanks for a great weekend, and Happy Birthday, Nana!

Random pics

Here is Madison's "beat-up" face. She was playing in her room, and ran into the foot of her bed...ouch!!!! Max is sitting like a big boy on the elephant rocker (right before he fell off)! I also added another video of Max laughing because it is such a contagious laugh! Enjoy!

65th Anniversary Party

Madison is sporting her new haircut in the first picture. So cute! Last Sunday we went to Jesse's Grandparent's 65th wedding anniversary party in IL. It was such a nice party and we enjoyed seeing relatives again that we normally only get to see during the holidays. Max enjoyed being held by his Uncle Tyler, and the kids met their Uncle Jeremy for the first time. It was nice to get all the cousins together and see how much Taylor has grown, too! While his Uncle Dave was giving a beautiful speech about love and memories, Madison came down the stairs he was standing on to find me and belted out loud, "Mommy, I have to go poopie!" I really wish someone had it on video, because the laughter from everyone, along with my bright red face, could've earned us $100,000 on America's Funniest Home Videos!!!! Just one more memory to add, as Uncle Dave said!

Wilderness

After our birthday party, we headed to the Wilderness to stay the night with some of my college roomies and their families. This is the second year in a row, and we will continue the tradition. The kids get along so well, and it is so fun for us adults to hang out. The kids have now officially taken over, as there were 8 adults, and nine children! Max enjoyed his first time in the water, a little. The water was actually pretty cold because it was below zero that day. The kids still loved every minute of it!

Birthday party

On Jan. 9th, our friend's daughter Alayna had her two year old birthday party. It was a candyland theme, and the cake and decorations were so cute! The girls had so much fun playing and eating candy.

Max enjoyed holding our leftover champagne bottle from New Year's.

Snowy Day!

The snow was coming down pretty

good on Thursday, and we ended up getting released from school two hours early, and started two hours late on Friday. Jesse had the girls outside for quite awhile sledding and working on our "igloo." Although Macy didn't last quite as long, Madison and him worked for a long time. I will take a finished picture when it is done. I think we'll have to wait until next week when it warms up again...brrrr!

Sitting up!

Max has not rolled around a lot, but he is getting so good at sitting up by himself! I got a picture of him sitting up and playing with his baseball toy. Then a couple of minutes later, I got an action shot of him falling over and me reaching out for him. The last picture is after he stopped crying, and he was trying to sit up again...hence the teary eyes. He is growing so fast!

Macy gives a bottle

Macy has been much more into helping out with Max lately, and often asks to hold him. Weds. morning Max woke up right before I had to leave, so I thought giving him a bottle would be easiest (he usually hangs out for awhile before eating, but he wasn't going to wait). Macy helped feed Max the bottle, and felt so proud.
Last night, Max tried a sippee cup for the first time. He did really well. I just had a little water in there, and when I held it up, he sucked the water down. When he was holding it himself, he just sucked on every part of the cup, including the handle and the bottom! It was so cute.

Prince Charming

My prince charming...what more can I say? Oh, I mean besides you, Jesse!

Shirts

The girls made their own shirts Sunday night. Madison's shirt took awhile to dry, especially the "big sun and rain drops," more like rain globs! They really enjoyed it, and couldn't wait to wear their new creations! The paint was finally dried enough Tuesday to wear them...they were so proud!

Workshop

I took Madison to Home Depot today for their kid's workshop. Maddie did a great job helping me make a new calendar. We decided to finish it at home so we could paint it. She even picked out a flower stamp for the sides of it. Great job, Madison! We will definitely go back again and let Macy try, too.

"Snow" much fun

We ended 2009 with some fun outside in the snow.

Our backyard may not work for a playset, but the hill is great for sledding! The neighbor kids built a jump at the bottom...enjoy the funny video!

Growing

You can see how much Max has grown in the last few months. Enjoy this here and then sunglasses pics!
