Frosty fest

We celebrated Frosty Fest around town a couple of weekends ago. The kids decorated snow measuring sticks at the library, and then we went to Viking Village to decorate cookies. Notice the amount of frosting on Macy's? She is definitely related to her Nana and Aunt Ellen! Max took a bite after every little bit of decorating...they had a blast!

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day! Max's shirt reads #1 Hunk and Matthew's outfit says elgible bachelor :)

Madison's 6th Birthday Party

We were feeling brave and had a friends' birthday party for Madison...15 Kindergarten girls were here for 3 hours, and all went well! Hannah Montana made an appearance even :) We played games like pin the microphone on Hannah Montana, music circle game, decorated their own Hollywood stars, and enjoyed a lunch made for a super "star." The ate star shaped pb and j sandwiches, star apples, and other sack lunch goodies. For dessert, microphone cupcakes were a big hit, but hard to fit 6 candles on! The weather was even warm enough that we went outside for the last 30 minutes to play! Funny that on her one year birthday, there was the biggest snow fall of the season! We had such a fun time!

Dress-up

Megan sent Madison's birthday gift, along with a box of dress-up goodies from a co-worker. We have had such a good time trying everything on! Sorry I wasn't able to get those pictures turned around, but they were still great enough to put on. Max also enjoyed singing Hannah Montana before Madison's party.

Matthew pics

)

Matthew has been getting more and more fun lately. He has been really getting into his toys...swinging the baseball bat even! Matthew recently got his first tooth on the bottom, and also becomes a "model" for his sister's things...this time around a new headband :) He is picking up puffs on his own, and has enjoyed eating Mum-Mums as well.

Super bowl sunday

Unfortunately, we have been fighting colds, croup, ear infections, and even the flu bug in our house lately. Our big superbowl plans consisted of staying in our jammies! The kids watched some Sunday morning cartoons before the cleaning began. Madison really wanted to help, such a sweet girl! Max helped entertain Matthew with a new toy. It was a very productive day, and now I hope all of these things go away!!!

Projects

The kids enjoyed working with their new play-doh sets from Robin. Max took a long time making little toppings for the pizza shop and both girls also enjoyed drilling and filling cavities in the Dentist kit. The heart shape boxes are from the Home Depot Kids' Workshop this weekend.

Sledding with the Bauer's

Our friends, the Bauer's, stopped by for some sledding after school one day. Everything is more fun with 10 kids!!!! Max even made a bunch of snow angels...he loved checking them out after he was done. Hoping for a little more snow this winter to build our infamous igloo!

Some more fun times in Jan.

Here are some WI sports fan enjoying floor time with Matthew. A picture of Madison's music program from school (middle left in white sweater). She did a fantastic job and got lots of compliments :) She is doing amazing writing and reading. I found the family one in her room, and she showed me a book full of others, like the one about loving her sister. Absolutely priceless! I had to laugh at the jumperoo pic...even baby exercise equipment gets turned into clothes hangers!!!!

Sled party

We had a couple of families over to sled after that first bigger snowfall. Max had done a face plant, and decided to sit and eat snow the entire time instead of sledding! Everyone else enjoyed the fast sledding, and the kids even loved to make the lilac bush into a snowball tree! Matthew enjoyed his first sled ride, too!

Snow fun!

Max and Macy were able to enjoy some snow together outside early January. They even started to shovel. It didn't last that long, but it was cute to watch :)

Badger faces and other fun

Here a few pics from the beginning of Jan. (harder to keep up lately)!
The girls sported Badger sticker tattoos for the big game...I just wish it would've brought more luck to the Badgers :(
The kids put on a play for me one day. I will try to download it...I finally stopped them after 5 minutes).
Max was testing out the girls' bracelets as hoop earrings...silly guy!
I love the matching little/big brother shirts on the boys.
We don't often find Macy missing from her bed, but if we do, she is usually found in Madison's bed!
