White Potato Lake

From Bay Beach, we went to my Aunt Karen and Uncle Dennis' lake house in Pound, WI. We were there last Memorial Day, too. We enjoyed relaxing and playing games, and spending time with the family. Macy had her first graham cracker and really liked it. Dennis and Karen always treat us like royalty! We were able to get out on the boat. Madison is still telling everyone that she drove the boat with Uncle Dennis! Macy must have found it pretty relaxing, because she took a snooze.

Bay Beach

Jesse and I took off work on Friday and headed up to Green Bay. We met my parents at Bay Beach Amusement park, and let the girls have some fun! Here are some pictures of the rides we went on. My parents took the girls on the merry-go-round, my Mom took Madison on the big ferris wheel, we all went on the train, and then Madison and Macy went on some of the kiddie rides. Macy was probably too young to go on the car...she kept dragging her sweater against the tire, and eventually her hand! She seemed to like it, though! Jesse and Bumpa went on the bumper cars, and Madison played on their big playground area as well. It was a beautiful day and the start of a great weekend!

Birthday Parties!

Last Saturday, we had Archer's first birthday party, and Great-Grandpa School's 85th birthday party in Appleton. It was a long, but very fun day. I got to see some of my college buddies (twice in one month)! The girls enjoyed playing with all the other kids, and Macy and Ethan got to play after not seeing each other for a long time! Aren't they cute (Ethan had Macy's nuk in his mouth)? Daddy celebrated his birthday on Monday...all these "Happy Birthday Cakes," as Maddie would say.

Favorite Toy

Macy's favorite toy remains the dog dish. The sitter started to put a chair in front of it because that was all she would do! I chased her tonight at least 7 times away from it! She is a persistent little one!

Friday dinner

We had the wonderful Schaaf family over for dinner last Friday night. Braden played so nicely with the girls! He is definitely a "ladies man!" We didn't get many pictures of Macy with her boyfriend, as they are both mobile. Every time Joy and I went in for a shot, they took off in two different directions!!!! There was a cute one of Madison "helping" Braden drink his sippy. We're excited to spend more time with Braden and his parents!

Macy - 8 months and active

What can we say?!?!? We always thought of Madison as the active one, but Macy is proving us wrong! I wouldn't be shocked if she was walking by 9 months! The same day she started crawling all over, she started to pull herself up. Now, she "run" crawls, and pulls herself up, and has even taken a step between the table and chair. The sitter said she let go the other day and stood up solo for a little. I forget how much easier it is when they stay in one spot! There is a picture of her trying to get to Ginger's dog bowl, and pulling herself up to the table to get the remote control. She enjoys eating her teething biscuits. She also gets very tired with all of this work, and she even fell asleep while sitting up! Look out world, here comes Macy Mae!

Girls' Night Morning

Daddy did wonderful with the girls for my big night out with my college roomies (or should I say, the girls did wonderful with Daddy)! Jesse thought he had heard Madison around 5:00 a.m., but went back to sleep after not hearing from her. This is what he found at 7:00 a.m. after Macy woke up! I was just jealous about sleeping "in" until 7:00!

Toddler Bed

Madison has been sleeping in her toddler bed since Monday night (thanks cousin Lora)! Sunday night did not go well, so she ended back in her crib. Every night she takes awhile to fall asleep, and Mommy usually has to curl up next to her for "just one song." Besides a little problem the other night, it has gone pretty well. Just tonight after we left the room, we could hear the two girls playing. We took a peek and found Madison out of her bed, and playing with Macy in her crib. It was pretty cute. Madison then let me take a picture of her in the bed...and she wanted more than one picture! That's huge, because she hasn't been much of a picture taker. Hopefully Saturday night they will do good for Daddy because I have my girls' night out in Madison!

Musicians

It appears that the girls got their father's musical talents! Macy crawled right over and starting playing on the piano...sister Madison wasn't far behind! She wanted it for herself, but we persuaded Maddie to share with her little sis!

WWF

It seems like Madison's favorite past time lately, is wrestling with Macy. While Jesse and I were getting ready for work today, I could hear the girls playing and found Maddie on top of her sister! The same thing had happened the night before! Funny how the same girl who takes down her little sister (I guess she's already on the ground technically), is the same one who breastfeeds and takes care of her baby dolls so nicely! We just keep thinking that Madison needs to treat Macy nicely, because it appears like she will be bigger than her some day!
