Ice cream days

I took the girls shopping last week with our neighbor and her 3 girls.  We had a great time and even tried Menchie's, a new frozen yogurt place by West Town Mall.  We also enjoyed some ice cream from Scoopy's in the Dells, thanks to the library program.  Max not only had a goatee, but had chocolate dripping down his arm!

Fun times around the Monte houseThe

The string you see coming from the playset is the "zipline" that the children made.  I love their imagination, and am thankful for good insurance!!!  They know not to really try it, although they found some great hangers to use!  The girls have been very into their bitty babies, and catching each other with nets!  I had to laugh when I went into the basement and found our elliptical machine the new sleeping spot for their babies!  At least it is getting some use this summer!

Mighty Machine Day

My friend Keely and I brought our kids to a MOPS sponsored "Mighty Machine Day" where kids can go on big farming equipment!  The kids loved it (I also brought our neighbor kids with, so I was up to 6)!  There was a spot for crafts as well as making your own ice cream!  They did a wonderful job, and we all enjoyed!  On the way home, we stopped at my friend's garden to pick some yummy produce!  A great day!

Love is in the air

The night of the "wedding," this is how I found our potato head toys!  Yes, they are holding hands, and the boy has quite a naughty face!!!  We will DEFINITELY have to watch Macy!

Macy's wedding

The kids love playing with their neighbors, Tori and Tyler.  Yesterday I overheard Tori and Madison "setting up" for the wedding.  I ran and got the camera, and got a picture from our deck of the "exchanging of rings and vows."  The top picture was right before Macy and Tyler took their first kiss, and the bottom picture is of their first dance.  WE HAVE TO WATCH OUT FOR THIS GIRL!!!!!!

Last day of gymnastics

The girls had their last day of summer gymnastics.  It was so fun...Max even got to participate!  I was even in the mood and tried a handstand against the wall!

Birthday!

On my birthday, I had a nice playdate with our friends and even though we all tried to talk Baby Olson out, no such luck!  Jesse suprised me by getting some of his golfers to babysit the kids while we went out for dinner.  We headed to Cancun and instead of getting fried ice cream, apparently they thought I needed more alcohol!  Oh well, I took the shot like a champ, and was good to go for the night!

Grandma Simonson's house

Well, we found our new vacation spot last week!  Grandma Simonson got a pool in the backyard, and when you add the golf cart and goats, it is better than any seasonal spot at a campground!  The kids had such a great time, along with the adults!  We will definitely enjoy many visits to Grandma's house!

Marvis Wedding

My beautiful cousin, Mara, got married to her sweetheart, Travis, this past Friday.  We call them "Marvis" for fun!  They were married at Heritage Hill Historic Park in Green Bay, and the reception was at the Rock Garden Inn.  Although it was a hot one, Mara looked gorgeous, and the ceremony was so nice.  We all had such a fun time at the reception...Max even showed off some moves on the dance floor!  Bumpa started his bond with Matthew, since my parents took all 4 kids for us on Saturday, so we could spend 2 nights alone in Door County.  We had a blast, and Bumpa took all 4 to Milwaukee Public Museum on Sunday, and State Fair on Monday.  There was even a photo booth at the wedding, where we sign the back of one to put in a book for the happy couple, and keep one for ourselves.  These were my favorite of the night!  What a great weekend!

Farewell picnic

We got together with some of our family friends to wish the Bauer's luck on their new adventure to Oak Creek!  Evelyn was so lovey and was giving everyone big hugs!  They will be missed!
