First official scoot forward!!!!

Hi! We had to post a picture of Macy getting ready to crawl! It may be awhile yet, but she scooted forward for the first time today! She has been rocking back and forth and scooting herself back, so today was a new thing! She has been trying out more solids, bananas and sweet potatoes as of yesterday. She still makes the funniest faces, and her whole body shakes, but she still eats them all! Madison still amazes us everyday with how much she knows. She can recognize the numbers 2-10 (1 always comes out as 4), she knows a lot of the colors and shapes, and can even pick out certain sea animals from one of her puzzles! Two years old is such a sponge stage!! We have started getting out for walks as a family, which Ginger loves. We're having so much fun, and cannot wait for the summer months to spend more time with each other. Hope everyone is doing well!

We Made it!!!!!

Hi everyone! We just got back today from our trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The drive was just fine, until we drove from Milwaukee back to Reedsburg with our latest snow storm! And here we were kind of complaining of the windy 60 degree weather down there! We had such a wonderful time. The girls were awesome. We got there around 4:00 on Saturday and checked into our oceanfront condo. We were in bed by 8:00! We visited an aquarium, ate lots of yummy food, went swimming, built sandcastles, wrote names in the sand, watched the sunrise over the ocean from our living room balcony, went on amusement park rides, and Jesse and I went "double parasailing" over the coast line. We were higher than the high rise hotels, and even spotted a helicopter below us! My mother was such a big help, and that allowed us to have some free time of our own as well. I would definitely do it all over again! I am posting a couple of my favorite pictures, but I also made an account on shutterfly to show a couple more: http://www.scvacation.shutterfly.com/

We hope everyone has a wonderful Easter and we'll post again soon!

Egg dying!!!!

When I got home from conferences tonight, I saw two very excited people getting ready to dye easter eggs!!! Daddy seemed almost more excited, but Maddie sure loved to stir! She ended up with a tatoo on her finger, along with some dye (hopefully it will come off)! We're hoping to pack up the van tonight, so we can leave right after school tommorrow. Wish us luck! Are we crazy driving to Mrytle Beach with a 6 month and a 2 year old?!?!?!?!? The answer will be posted upon our return! :)

First Egg Hunt

We went to our friend's house last Saturday for an Easter Egg Hunt. The Easter bunny hid the eggs inside the house because of the cold weather. We were so excited for Madison...and she just wanted to play with all of the new toys that she saw! Her favorite was the shopping cart, in which she placed her basket and one egg that she found. She did realize the eggs had candy in them, so she liked that. All the other kids grabbed a bunch of eggs, some even shared with Madison. She also didn't want to sit to get her picture taken (like usual), but Macy did well! As you can also tell by the pictures, Madison has had an issue with her nose lately! She was sick for awhile, and seems to always have her finger near there! Welcome to the two's, right?!?!?

Green Beans!!!!!

Macy's first try with real food (besides milk and rice cereal) was green beans!!! She made a ton of faces - many funny pictures - and she ended up liking them!

Swimming in Fond du Lac

We were gone last weekend to Fond du Lac, where we spend time with my Mom's family at a hotel. This was our 10th year getting together, and as usual, we had a blast! The girls were so good (minus their coughing)! Madison started swimming Sat. morning and within minutes, wanted my Dad to let go of her. The rest of the time, and later that day, she was cruizing around the pool on her own. Her favorite thing to do was climb up the ladder in the deep end, and jump in to Daddy's arms! My Dad kept saying that she wore him out, and then Jesse...but she could have easily kept on going! We're even more excited for our Spring Break trip to South Carolina. It's official and we know that she'll enjoy being the "fish" she is. Macy also enjoyed her time in the pool. The girls' just had their appointments on Tuesday. Macy was 16 pound 10 ounces (75%) and 28 inches long! The doctor didn't even give us a percentile, he just said, "She IS longer than every girl her age!" Madison weighed 28 pounds and was 351/4 inches long. She went down to 80% in her height. After our colds are done, I hope we'll be back to normal. Looking forward to the warming trend (it's gotta come sometime, right?). Take care everyone!
