Mt. Olympus

Last weekend, we stayed at Hotel Rome with four of my college friends and their kids.

We always have such a great time, and the kids play really nicely together. I didn't have my camera out much, unfortunately, but did snap the one of Sullivan and Max hanging out. They are only 3 days apart! Max really enjoyed the slide in the children's area. He would climb to the top and wave and clap. Then, he would go down. He continued to get more brave so I would have to catch his hand quickly before he cruised down by himself. We will look forward to next year!

New Game

Daddy and Max were playing a fun new game today! He really will be a nosetackle some day! Notice at the end when I say, "Hmmmm." I realized recently when I say that, he puts his finger up to his mouth and repeats it! Silly guy! We will miss all the time when we go back tomorrow, but look forward to some other fun things coming soon!!!!!

Rose Bowl Party

Although the outcome of the game was sad, we enjoyed having some company over to watch the game. There were lots of kids so all had fun playing and they all got along really well! We were still sad about not going to the real game, but are thankful that we didn't spend all that money and decided to take the whole family to Disneyland after Madison turns 5 in December. And even with a loss, GO BUCKY! WE LOVE YOU!!!!

New Year's Eve

After a nice Sunday at home, we celebrated our friend Alayna's birthday at Pump-It-Up in Fitchburg. Afterwards, we ate at Olive Garden and enjoyed some cupcakes at her house later on. Tuesday we headed for Milwaukee where Bumpa and Nana watched the kids overnight for us. Jesse and I went to a movie and then ate at our hotel we stayed at, The Iron Horse. We enjoyed our "quiet" time and the chance to talk without being interrupted by 3 little voices! We celebrated Christmas and Bumpa's birthday on Weds. before heading back to town. New Year's Eve was spent at the Olson's. Although our countdown was way early (around 8:30), we all had a great time! Jesse and I were in bed before midnight, way different than pre-kid time!

Santa CLAUS comes!

Our friend, Sarah, had given us some "reindeer food" to put outside so the reindeer could find our house for Santa. Jesse and the girls focused the food around our snowman, Bubbalouie (Bubbalouie has now melted). When the girls went downstairs to see if Santa came, we could here Macy say, "Santa CLAUSSSSS came last night!" It probably sounds more cute in person, but we were all smiling so big! Of course, we didn't have much time to open and enjoy before we were on the road. We had a wonderful day spending time with both sides of Jesse's family. In addition, we even got to see Kerry and his family, too! The first time in a long time we were actually early for something :) Thank goodness the roads were good and traveling was no problem. What a great Christmas Day!
