Coloring contest/playdate

Madison's friend, Madison, stopped by on Tuesday with a gift that she had picked out for her...so cute! So, we decided to share a little cake with her, and sang one last time. Thanks for stopping by Maass family! Madison has been very into coloring lately (and has been doing an amazing job). The last time Jesse stopped by one of the grocery stores, he picked up sheets for a coloring contest. Here she is coloring the Easter bunny...we'll let you know how she does!

Jumperoo and balloons

Although Max missed most of the party because he was napping, he sure had a great time. When he got up there were 30 people that were not there before! He looked around for the first 5 minutes in total amazement! His cousin Katelyn kept bringing him balloons, and he enjoyed playing with those. He kind of looked like a big present! I also included a video of him in his jumperoo for the first time this evening after things quieted down. It took him a bit, but then he really seemed to enjoy it!

4th Birthday Party

We had so much fun to day at Madison's birthday party. I can't believe my baby is turning 4 tomorrow! Madison had fun helping Daddy with the streamers this morning. We had a Mermaid, "under the sea" theme. Lots of blue streamers and balloons, and lots of Mermaids! There were four with Mermaid costumes at the party...how cute! After presents and cake, all the kids went on a scavenger hunt around
the house. I hid 6 clues, and at the end was a treasure chest filled with their goodie bags. They all loved that! She got many great gifts, including clothes, polly pockets, and lots of Ariel things. She enjoyed time with Bumpa and Nana (thanks for all the help), and even got a surprise visit from her cousin Taylor, and Great-Grandma and Grandpa Phillips (thanks Grandma for bringing them)! What a wonderful day celebrating with great friends and family!

Ariel Cake

With the help of my friend Kristin (thanks for letting me borrow all of your supplies) and Tara (thanks for "helping" me make the frosting), I made Madison's Ariel cake! It took a long time, but so worth it to see the look on her face when she first saw it! The two hours to frost was tedious (and it looks like Ariel just finished a fake bake - too much copper coloring), but again, worth it to see her face. Madison also helped me make some cupcakes to take to school tomorrow on her birthday. We frosted names or initials on each one. For her party, we made seashells and octodogs for the "under the sea" theme. What a great time!

Alphabet cards

Jesse has been doing alphabet cards with Madison. They work on the letters and the sounds. Macy enjoys participating, too. In fact, she asked Jesse one night for cards, and only missed 5 letters! Last night was the best. Madison was "quizzing" Macy with the cards, and would even compliment her when she got it right! Keep up the great work, girls!

Dance cam

Macy wanted the Dance cam set up last night. It was fun to see Max jumping in his exersaucer and seeing himself on tv! We all enjoyed dancing!

Macy's first haircut

We were always afraid of how Macy would react if we took her to get her hair cut. Jesse has just trimmed her bangs throughout the years. We had good reason not to bring her!!!!! At 2 and 1/2, her first "professional" haircut, was horrible! She tried jumping down from the seat a couple of times, was yelling and trying to hit the stylist, and then starting crying! Needless to say, the haircut didn't turn out the greatest, but at least it is done!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! We got Madison and Macy these Ariel shirts and flip-flops from the Disney store...they look more like dresses, but the girls loved them! They were sad when they had to put back on their Valentine shirts! Max loved his "eligible bachelor" outfit, and wore it with pride all day long. Sorry ladies, not available for quite awhile :)

Brother/Sister

At least Max takes nice pictures!!!! It is so sad that we can take 10 pics, and either Madison or Macy (or both) have silly expressions on their faces!!!!! I've been meaning to take this picture because Max is in 12 month clothes, and his onesie in the pic is a 3/6. We got it on him for the photo opp, and now can put it away :(

Water Park

Jesse and his friend, Joe, took Madison and Brianna to Mt. Olympus on Sat. They had a lot of fun, and ended the day going out to eat at Applebee's.

Come and visit again soon!!!!

More sledding!

Our friends stopped by to sled on Sunday. The kids (and Dads) had so much fun! Macy and Alayna went down all by themselves. Thank goodness Mark was there to divert the sled...I pictured them soaring off the jump and it would've been bad! I also let Max go down by himself...I didn't know how fast those toddler sleds went! The video is very short because I had to catch him. He really didn't have much of a facial expression which is probably a good thing. I wouldn't have wanted him tramatized from sledding for life!!!! Enjoy the videos!

6 month pics

These are just a couple of pics with his outfit still on after his 6 month pictures were taken. We selected two poses, which I will try to post soon. He looked like such a cute little guy with his button down shirt and jeans on! He has been enjoying his little play cars, and he was so tired the other day on his tummy, that he kept resting his head on the crawl ball! Madison still enjoys playing with her brother, and I love this picture of the two of them...the way Max is looking up at her smiling is priceless!

Outside fun

I bundled up the kids the other day for some outside fun! We took Max in the sled around the house. Ginger enjoyed being out there with us. Madison did some real sledding and Macy didn't last long because she took off her mittens and her hands got cold. Madison loved pulling Max, and he just looked up at her smiling!

Valentines

Madison signed her own valentine's for her class the other day. I just can't believe she's old enough to be going to preschool and signing her name! She did take a break half way through to "rest her hand."

6 Months Old

Max turned 6 months old on Friday! We let him look at a brownie and sang to him. This was the picture I took before I lit the candle, and he touched it! Poor guy! I don't know what I was thinking lighting a candle that close to him, but thankfully there was no marks. We had his appt. yesterday and he is 18 pounds 15 ounces, and 28 1/4 inches long! 75% for weight and 95% for height. I can't believe he is already half a year old!!!!

Maya's Birthday

We had a great time at Maya's 1st birthday party on Sat. She was wonderful, and the girls enjoyed playing and eating all the food. Maya looked so cute in her birthday dress!

I guess we can't call her "baby" Maya anymore!!!
