Madison's Spring Program

Madison's preschool had their spring program tonight. All the kids were really sweet and did such a nice job. I tried to take a couple of small videos to post. The first one is the 5 little duck song. The other one is about the whole world in his hand. At the end, they played the chicken dance and invited the families to join. Macy really enjoyed watching big sis this time. She was telling people after that she clapped for Madison!

Peonies

After Madison's program, we had some ice cream and went for our daily walk. On the way back, we noticed all our beautiful peonies, and took a few pictures. They smell really good, too!

Boo-boo

Bumpa came with us to Mt. Olympus last Saturday. Sabrina, Ellen, Ethan, and Emma also joined us. Ethan didn't really find anything he wanted to go on, but the girls enjoyed many outdoor rides. While Jesse and I were waiting in the long line to ride Hades (the coaster that goes underground twice - very cool by the way), Bumpa was with the kids. After enjoying some rides and fries, they made their way to the indoor water park. Max was enjoying splashing in the water, until he took a little nose dive into the zero entry pool. The floors are so rough, it cut his little nose right up. He is a trooper though! I also included a picture of his first big banana. I gave him a big section of banana for him to eat, and he loved playing with it more than eating it. In fact, their was a big chunk of it left in his highchair at the very end!

Bunk Beds!

We bought bunk beds for the girls...they have been wanting to be back in the same room together, and would sneak out at night to see each other. They love their new beds, and I love how they turned out. The first night of sleep and nap were so great, we thought it was a miracle! Now it is just a matter of getting them to settle down at night before they fall asleep. Some day!

Peek-a-boo

Max loves to play peek-a-boo. It doesn't matter how or where, he just loves it. He was playing peek-a-boo with me by hiding his head in the chair. He was laughing so hard, it was the funniest! I just love him putting his face into the chair thinking I can't find him...he is a blast right now!

Crawling

Max is officially crawling! He was so close for so long, and I can finally say he crawls! I tried to get some video last night, but it didn't work so well. Then, he did a big crawl at the library with Robin and our friend Tara witnessed it, too. At least someone saw it, right??? We are very proud of him. He also cut his top two teeth during the weekend, so it was a very momentous one!

Bump

We were out for a walk on Sunday, and Madison fell and bumped her head on the cement. It swelled up so fast and so big! She was so brave and did a nice job keeping ice on it, so it went down throughout the evening. Ouch!!!! I thought for sure we'd be making a trip to the emergency room, but we lucked out!

Mother's Day

I had the most wonderful Mother's Day. We went to Buffalo Phil's in the Dells for a nice brunch, and we stayed and played in Knuckleheads for awhile afterwards. We rode the train coaster, the girls rode on airplanes, and we all played in the play area for a long time. I'm sad I forgot my camera, because they all had such big smiles on their faces! Here are some pictures that Jesse took of all three of them...these were the best out of 10!

Cinco de Mayo

We had some family friends over to celebrate Cinco de Mayo...an annual tradition now at our house. It was super special this year with 3 newborn babies! It is scary when the number of kids over is more than the adults :) Max was having a great time in his highchair eating puffs and checking everyone out, that he started to fall asleep. I got him on video, of course it was after he stopped feeding himself while half asleep (that was the funniest part)! Being the great Mom I am, I just left him there instead of picking him up and laying him in his bed. He actually napped like this for at least 30 minutes!!!

Macho Man!

Max had his 9 month appt. the other day and it went well (I loved it because their are not shots involved)! He was 21 pounds, 6 ounces (65%), and he was 31 inches long! He was off the chart for that one! It is funny because his favorite song lately is "Macho Man" when Bumpa had music playing for him, so enjoy him dancing and the girls singing to their new favorite song!

May Day!

What a wonderful start to the month of May! I was with my parents overnight in Milwaukee Friday. The kids had a great time with Bumpa! While I took Max to Holly's shower (it was great to see some old high school classmates), Bumpa took the girls to Betty Brin. We then met baby Natal and the kids got to jump on the Larson's "bounce-o-line!" From there, I stopped by my cousin Sabrina's house to see how much baby Emma has grown. My cousin Jessica and her son McCormick were there, and we went to dream park in Sun Prairie before we headed home. Max loved the swing and was laughing hysterically the first couple of minutes. He also enjoyed his sister pushing him!
