Pumpkin Carving

Nothing like carving pumpkins on Halloween in your pajama top and underwear! We finally carved our pumpkins before lunch today, and Madison really enjoyed it (so did Daddy)! We had quite the day! After an unsuccessful napping attempt, we went to Viking Village Grocery store for our Halloween picture and went on a horse-drawn carriage ride. From there, we met up with the Preschool Pumpkin parade downtown and then some friends came over to trick or treat
with us. After they left, we went to our neighbors Halloween party. They had a pinata and Tim took them on a "spooky ride." Some of the Dad's came out of the bushes to scare them. Madison kept wanted to go for another ride, she loved it so much! Jesse dressed up as Dracula, and the girls weren't scared of him at all. I had a black widow spider costume on (it didn't show that much leg when I was standing up)! We lit our pumpkins at dawn. Jesse's was a scooby-doo pattern! We had such a great day!

Trick or Treat at the SCHCC

We came back on Sunday from Milwaukee, and went right to the Health Care Center for trick or treating. We had just gotten a lady bug costume from Katie, so we used that one on Macy. She looked like she was going to fly away!!!! The girls had fun, and I think all the elderly people were impressed by Madison's manners! Macy got a kick out of the candy, and kept putting her hands in for more. I also put a picture of them in their (kind of) matching halloween shirts. Macy's said, "Just say BOO!" and Madison's said, "Witch and famous."

Halloween party

My brother and sister-in-law had an open house/Halloween Party. There were tons of kids there, and the girls had a blast. It was so much fun looking at the other costumes and getting in the Halloween spirit! There has always been a pumpkin display in WFB, and we took Madison there after the party. The first set of pumpkins I went to look at had a K loves J on it! I thought that was pretty cool. Macy wore her 50's dress, and Madison was Cinderella.

More Pumpkin Patch

My Dad came up for the weekend and we took the girls to the pumpkin patch. Bumpa had a great time, and the girls loved having him with us. Jesse put together Madison's video, but I wanted to share some other pictures from the day.

New bed

Madison has great napping days, and then she will refuse to fall asleep. Well, I refused to let her come back down until she napped. We didn't hear from her for awhile and knew that she was finally asleep...we didn't realized she had fallen asleep in the middle of the stairs!

Cottage cheese, please!

Macy loves cottage cheese, just like her big sis. We usually feed her out of convenience, and not wanting too big of a mess. We also realize that we need to let her start eating by herself...or trying to! She took the first spoonful really well, and then started to dip the wrong side in. I posted some after pics, where there was more cottage cheese on Macy, then in her mouth!
